Talcher – Talcher police have arrested a gang of robbers planning to commit a robbery near Talcher College Ground. A gang of six robbers was caught by the police while they were planning to rob the driver by stopping trucks on the national highway. Two country-made guns, ammunition and a knife along with an iron rod were seized from them. The police raided the area after receiving information that seven robbers were planning to commit a robbery near the forest. One of them managed to escape, but the police were able to arrest six others. The arrested accused are Sanpua @ Rahul Naik, Ghazni @ Suman Naik, Suraj @ Paravathi Naik, Ilu @ Rajat Naik, Jatin Naik and Shipu Naik. The police have informed that the houses of all the accused are in Talcher Jail Road Ward No. 11. It is known that this accused has many criminal cases pending against him.
